Delete Cookies in Opera

Below are the step-by-step instructions for deleting cookies in Opera.

1. Open Opera and click Tools in the menu (top of the screen).
2. To delete all cookies, follow steps 1 through 4 below, otherwise, skip ahead to step 3:
   1. Click Delete Private Data from the drop down menu that appears.
   2. Uncheck all items except for Delete Cookies.
   3. Click Delete.
   4. If you are currently downloading a file you may see a dialog box that says “Active transfer has not been removed.”  Click OK to close the dialog box.
3. If you wish to delete only specific cookies, follow these steps:
   1. Hover your mouse over Advanced in the drop down menu that appears.
   2. When a new menu appears click Cookies.
   3. In the list that appears, select the cookies you want to delete (hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard to select multiple cookies).
   4. Click Delete.

You can also configure Opera to delete all cookies at the end of every session (in many cases a session ends when you close your browser). Follow these steps to configure Opera:

1. Open Opera and click Opera in the menu (top of the screen).
2. Click Preferences in the drop down menu that appears.
3. Change the configuration settings to match your preferences.
4. Click OK to save your changes and close the Preferences window.
